Drain

Currently, my checking account feels like it's just draining money.

I know, I just bought tickets to Legoland...why am I complaining. I hear ya.

With The Hubs quitting his job, money (non-free money) is tight. And by non-free money, I mean, money that's already allocated for bills and savings. With him also quitting, I also feel like I may have picked the wrong year to go on vacation. Our first huge vacation. The one where I told him I wanted my bonus to go towards. But then again, I feel resentment towards him as I'm thinking - you knew all this was going to happen. You knew that and you pull this stunt.

On the flip side, it seems that March is just a hard month for us, financially wise. I am juggling everything and sincerely hoping that I don't drop the ball.

This Sunday we're having a birthday party for Evelyn at a bounce house place. I still have less than $300 left to pay on the place. This isn't including cake and little snacks...so I'll be happy to leave paying less than $400. It's important to me that we have something for Evelyn as I feel like we really don't have big birthday's for her...and this one would be her first, with friends from school invited too.

Thursday, Evelyn's school is celebrating her birthday in chapel. They do it for everyone during their birthday month. The birthday girl/boy gets a special song sung to them at Chapel and their parents have to bring a special snack to celebrate said birthday. So, I thought I would bring cupcakes, bam over. Nope. I have to bring cupcakes, fruit, mini snack. Wait, what the what.

Let's not forget the Easter party at her school. I totally forgot I signed up, at the first of the year, for this crap. Sorry but these mom's are all Pinterest happy and want a theme...how about Easter?! I got a few side eyes for that remark.  We have less than a hour for the party and we needs a craft, a story, a group activity...and have lunch. In a hour...with 3 year olds. Yeah.

And then there is Spring Break - which is next week! When did that happen? It just snuck up on me. So I won't be so bah-hum-hug, I decided to take a few days off so we can do something for Spring Break. The kiddos want to go to the beach. Me? Not so much. I know, come on, Mom.

Sigh. I'll get through March soon enough with my head, hopefully, above water.
